New league format 2015

Cricket Switzerland have announced some major changes to the league format in 2015.

The new league chairman, Asvin Lakkaraju, announced the changes in an email to clubs and the changes have also been documented on the Cricket Switzerland website.

The main changes are:

• Change to the points system - Points have been halved & the batting & bowling bonus point system removed. There is still one bonus available for fielding an U19, a Swiss-born and new a female player.
  
• Net Run rate - Position in the league for teams finishing on equal points will be determined by NRR.
  
• Turning up late - teams not present 20 minutes before the start time to take the toss are deemed to have lost the toss.
  
• New league form - must be completed BEFORE the toss
  
• Dedicated scorer - fielding sides with no dedicated scorer field with 10.
  
• Supplying Umpires - 3 point penalty for failing to supply an umpire
  
• Forfeiting a match - points reduction for forfeiting is 10 points per match for the current season plus 5 carrid over to the following season.
