WCC Family hike & BBQ

Join WCC members, families & friends for a walk in the countryside on Thursday 14th May (Ascension Day) at the 2015 WCC family hike & BBQ (suitable for all ages and ideal for pushchairs).

Meeting at 11am at Bhf Eglisau the group will make our way into the centre of Eglisau where we will begin the leisurely hike along the north bank of the Rhine to Tössegg.

Here we will cross to the south bank of the river where we will make our first stop for refreshments and, given the right weather conditions, have the opportunity for a dip in the Rhine.

We will then move on direction back to Eglisau stopping after a short while for a barbecue, where liquid refreshments (soft drinks, beer & wine) will be available for purchase at reasonable prices but please bring your own meat, bread and salads for the Barbecue.

This is a simple hike and ideal for families with children, but also for anyone who enjoys being out in the countryside. Don't forget to bring food for your own consumption with you and wear comfortable walking shoes or trainers & clothing suitable for the weather on the day (swimming costume & a towel hopefully too)!
