40th Anniversary Tour 2022

Winterthur Cricket Club plan a 40th Anniversary Tour to play Idle Cricket Club at their new ground near Treviglio, Italy, on Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th June 2022.

Players & supporters can make their way on either Friday afternoon on early Saturday morning and play two games of cricket on Saturday & Sunday against our friends Idle Cricket Club. There will be ample time to visit the local town and sample the sights & delights of Treviglio (near Lodi).

Those involved in previous tours to play Idle CC will be familiar with traveling to, and staying in, Lodi.

Idle CC now play at the Bosco Grosso Cricket Ground near Treviglio. Treviglio is easily reachable by train and car with a typical time of 4.5 hours starting from Winterthur.

Besides the cricket, we'll have an evening event on the Saturday evening with Idle CC and obviously a good Friday night in Treviglio which I'm informed is "a nice little town".

In order for the team to stay together the recommended hotel is Hotel Meublè Atlantic, Treviglio but there are of course other options.
