On Monday 20th June members of the Winterthur Cricket Club and Zurich Sapphires Cricket Club staged a nets session in the presence of the television cameras of Swiss television channel SRF (Schweizer Radio & Fernsehen).
The filming provided a backdrop to the programme "Kulturplatz" moderated by Eva Wannenmacher. The main focus was the so-called BREXIT and the UK's referendum on remaining part of the European Union (EU).
Members present were asked their opinion on the subject, but also about cricket, providing a stage to show-case Swiss Cricket and cricket in Winterthur.
After training members were invited by the SRF crew to enjoy a drink while watching the Euro 2016 game England versus Slovakia in the Restaurant Tiefenbrunnen while SRF completed the filming.
The programme "Kulturplatz" was broadcast on SRF on Wednesday 22nd June at 9.30pm and available via podcast on the SRF website.
