WCC members with their families and partners enjoyed the beautiful Ascension day weather with a round trip hike from Eglisau.
The age gap between the oldest and youngest hiker amongst the 19 hikers spanned 70 years. The leisurely 3-4 hour hike took us along the river banks of the Rhine and also involved a short boat
trip to the other side of the Rhine, and an extra couple of hours enjoying a BBQ.
There were no major injuries to report, but quite probably the Bionic man, Pat Dorey, will be feeling his Bionic foot this morning, and maybe Peter Brook will finally realise he’s not a 21 year
old anymore and that fine red wine is used for drinking and not used to add extra colour to your already faded red shirt.
Thanks go to Graham Deacon the organiser of this social event.
