Cricket at Zürcher Sportfest

Cricket featured at Zürcher Sportfest held at Kantonschule Rychenberg on Sunday 5th September 2021.

The Winterthur Cricket Club took time out of their busy competitive league programme to showcase cricket at the Zürcher Sportfest on Sunday 5th. Attendees of this annual sports' festival were provided the opportunity to learn about cricket.

The WCC explained & demonstrated cricket to the numerous & diverse visitors aged from 4 to 80. After a few simple drills to learn the basics of throwing, catching & batting, the participants then went on to play in front of some stumps and practice running between the wickets.

In addition to cricket there was a variety of clubs, sports & activities showcased, for example, Hornussen, Football, Baseball, Rugby, Volleyball and Rock & Roll Dancing together with refreshment stalls and other activities for families.
