Two friendlies v Nomads
Winterthur's pre-season preparations began earlier than ever under new captain Mohamed Sameel, with two friendly fixtures at Deutweg on Sunday 25th March 2018.
Results didn't go Winterthur's way in either match against last year's CSPL champions, Winterthur 17 runs short in the first match and losing by 4 wickets n the second.
There were lots of positives to be taken from these two pre-season matches, not least Kasun's innings of 79 in the first game and a three wicket haul from Suhash in the second. Both these players are likely to play an important role for the WCC this season. But there was an even longer list of things to work on in the nets before the season starts for real against Zurich Crickets on 28th April.
