At Molly Malone Irish Pub in Winterthur, members of Winterthur Cricket Club gathered for a lively and memorable watch party to enjoy one of the most exciting matches of the tournament.

The final turned into a thrilling high-scoring contest, packed with big hits, momentum swings, and tense moments that kept everyone glued to the screen. In the end, India dominated the closing stages to secure the World Cup title and celebrate an impressive back-to-back championship victory.

A special mention goes to Mandar Sathe, who brought several friends all the way from Lausanne to join the evening. Travelling across Switzerland just to watch the World Cup Final together added even more energy to the event.

👏 The guests from Lausanne quickly blended into the WCC crowd, enjoying the match alongside members with plenty of laughs, cricket discussions, and of course a few celebratory drinks.

🐶 The Tom & Jerry Moment

Of course, no WCC gathering would be complete without a bit of extra entertainment. Jerry — Tom’s loyal doggo — also made an appearance and seemed just as invested in the match as everyone else.

At times the dynamic between Tom and Jerry felt straight out of the classic Tom & Jerry cartoon. While the cricket kept everyone on the edge of their seats, Jerry happily enjoyed the excitement (and the occasional snack), adding a few light-hearted moments to the evening.

Thankfully, unlike the famous cartoon chase scenes, the night ended peacefully — with great company, a thrilling finish, and India lifting the trophy.
