Prague tour

Following the huge success of our England tour last year, Winterthur CC has arranged another overseas extravaganza - this time in Prague. We will take a team to the Czech capital on the Swiss Whitsun bank holiday weekend of May 21-24 (the Monday being a holiday in Switzerland). Games have been arranged for the Saturday and Sunday and reasonably priced accomodation will also be found. Contact Graham Deacon if you are interested: gdeacon@gmail.ch.
New Year, new season

Winter may still be here but Winterthur CC is gearing up for another season of cricket. Our boys have already been playing on the frozen lake of St Moritz and the real action is not too far away. A couple of dates for your diaries already: Monday, March 22, has been fixed for our Annual General Meeting starting at 8pm at our usual HQ of the Schweizergruss restaurant in Winterthur (more details will reach you soon).
Another important date to take note of is Sunday, April 25, which marks the traditional club internal match - a great chance to shake off the cobwebs with the friendliest of friendly matches. For those of you new to the club, please come along, as it will give you the chance to meet your team-mates and experience our 2010 season curtain raiser.

Moritz, Cricket-on-ice

Winterthur CC took part in the annual Cricket-on-ice event on 4th-6th February 2010 on the frozen St. Moritz lake. The trophy was shared by four teams, including WCC. For further information go to the Cricket-on-ice website – www.cricket-on-ice.com until our match reports appear. The White Turf horse race also took place on the lake on Sunday 7th Feb.
